Practitioners
Claire
Hello, I’m Claire and what I’m really passionate about is sharing and offering alternatives to the “allopathic” approach to pain
(which means treating the symptoms of a problem with conventional means e.g. drugs that mask pain). My approach is truly HOLISTIC so if I feel I can help you with any of my treatments then I will, but if I think you may benefit from another approach or treatment I will always suggest it.
My principal approach to addressing pain, and especially CHRONIC pain (the stuff you live with day after day such as fibromyalgia etc) is by using a gentle but really effective treatment called Myofascial Release Therapy. This addresses the body wide web of connective tissue in a way that recognises that injuries or problems in one part of the body will impact other parts, causing sometimes, strangely unrelated symptoms. PLUS the fascial system is also called the secondary nervous system and stores trauma both physical and mental, so grief, stress, and PTSD for example is stored in the fascia. Releasing the fascia therefore helps release these emotions, trauma, and physical restrictions.
I will also give you exercises or strategies to help you day to day to manage pain so you can be in the driving seat and manage your pain free life again.
Initial Myofascial Release sessions are 90 minutes so I can do a postural analysis and talk through your health questionnaire

Treatments
Indian Head Massage
I also offer one hour sessions of Indian Head Massage. Ideal for anyone who would like a relaxing treatment, but one which can also address restrictions and pain in the head, neck, and shoulders specifically. Indian Head Massage includes a neck, upper back, and shoulders massage, manipulation of the scalp to promote blood flow to the hair follicles, and a facial massage with coconut oil to relax the face and jaw so good for people with TMJ problems. It really does help to balance the chakras and is super relaxing
£35 per treatment

Reflexology Treatments
Reflexology (massage of the feet, or hands) is a treatment one either loves or hates to be honest, so not for everyone as I am aware, however, the feet (and hands) reflect what is happening in the rest of the body. As a body-wide therapist I find this a really useful diagnostic tool so I can pick up on areas of tension that you don’t necessarily think to be a problem, but which may be causing issues elsewhere
If you DO like a relaxing foot massage, then irrespective of the other benefits pop over to the Siver Web for a good foot rub (with added benefits)
