Restore Scar Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive treatment designed to improve the health, comfort, and appearance of scar tissue. Scars, whether from surgery, injury, or childbirth, can create restrictions in the body, and not just immediately around the scar. These restrictions may contribute to pain, sensitivity, itching, reduced mobility, or a sense of tightness around the affected area. The scar you see on the surface is just the “tip of the iceberg”.
This specialised therapy works by applying light, touch to the scar and surrounding tissue, encouraging adhesions to soften and release. Over time, this can improve circulation, ease tension, and restore greater mobility. Many clients also notice that their scars become less raised, less sensitive, and feel more integrated with the rest of the body.
The benefits of Restore Scar Therapy go beyond the physical. Scars can sometimes carry an emotional imprint of trauma or surgery, and gentle therapeutic work can support both body and mind in the healing process. Clients often report a greater sense of ease, freedom of movement, and improved connection with their body.
Restore Scar Therapy can help with caesarean sections, hysterectomies, joint replacements, mastectomies, abdominal surgeries, and other scars. It offers a caring, holistic approach to recovery and long-term well-being.
I also provide clients with simple tools and techniques to support themselves between sessions, helping to accelerate progress and maintain long-term results.
Session Costs:
· First session (90 mins, including consultation): £60, which may include Myofascial Release and/or Low Level Laser Therapy
· Subsequent sessions: length and cost to be discussed
